Crowning glory for Milton Keynes Snap as it announces a Royal visit

Vice-Patron of the learning and life-skills centre, Roger Jefcoate, CBE, DL said the visit by the His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent is “great recognition for this flagship charity”.

During his tour next Friday, The Duke will meet the learners in a variety of sessions including work training, gardening, life-skills, canvas art, music, sport and catering.

His Royal Highness will also meet supporters who are essential to the range and quality of services and support MK Snap is able to provide.

The Duke will be welcomed by MK Snap’s Patron, The Duchess of Bedford and the charity’s new Chief Executive, Angela Novell, who said: “The Royal visit is fitting recognition of this amazing charity and the excellent work that is carried out every day.”

Chair of trustees, Liz Gifford said: “This visit will be a very valuable acknowledgement of the quality of the work of MK Snap and a great experience for learners and staff.”

Guests include Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, Mr Peter Kara and Mayor of Milton Keynes, Councillor David Hopkins.

The chairman of MK Dons, Pete Winkelman and Milton Keynes’ business champion, Ann Limb will also be present.
