Daffodil dress wows the customers at Bletchley store
A stunning dress and accessories created from more than 4,000 daffodil pins is winning much admiration from customers and passers-by of the Marie Curie shop in Bletchley.
The dress, made by staff and volunteers, has been designed for the Great Daffodil Appeal fundraiser being held on Friday, March 16, when the pins are sold.
Shop manager Tina Dye said: “This is a great achievement and the volunteers are really proud of what they made. I thought it would make a good talking point for the appeal to help raise funds for Marie Curie. We have had lots of people commenting on how great it looks, even passers by taking pictures of it.”
The outfit took three days to make and has 3,000 pins in the dress, and another 1,400 in the fascinator, shoes, bag and edging of the cardigan.
