Last year’s IF:Fest delivered many highlights – but one of the very best caught many people unaware.
Southpaw Dance Company performed a fiery version of Faust outside the Xscape building, and brought the area to a standstill.
Exquisitely telling Goethe’s tale with movement and fire, they transformed the area and wowed an audience with their originality.
Southpaw Dance Company will be back in town this weekend.
The bad news for some of us is that the troupe won’t be performing this time.
But it’s great news for those among us who have a background in dance and want to learn from the company.
Motus Dance have organised a workshop with the guys.
It is suitable for those aged 16+ who have some dance experience, including vocational students and professional dancers.
Tickets are £25 for the day long event, which will run between 10am and 5pm.

> The world’s only live interactive animation, Little Howard’s Big Show For Kids is live at Stantonbury Theatre this Sunday.
Life is tough in showbiz land and Little Howard’s act keeps going wrong; Roger the Pigeon has spent all their money on cookie cutters, and Big Howard has been diagnosed as clinically unfunny. Oh, and there’s a slug in the backstage toilet. Eeeek! It’s the theatrical version of a sweet treat this is, but with none of the tooth-rotting potential.
Perfect for youngsters aged six years and above, Little Howard’s Big Show For Kids goes live at 2.30pm.
