Delays and cancellations on trains to London

Rail services on the Milton Keynes-London route are subject to delays and cancellations this morning.

The issue has been caused by electrical supply problems at London Euston, meaning that all lines are blocked. A replacement bus service is running until further notice.

London Midland services running to and from London may be cancelled or delayed at short notice. It is not yet known when normal services will resume.

The Marston Vale route from Bletchley to Bedford is not affected.

A spokesman said: “Virgin Trains and Chiltern Railways services are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice. Arrangements have been made for London Midland rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.

“London Overground, Thameslink and East Midlands Trains services are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice. London Underground services are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice.

“Rail replacement coach services are conveying passengers from Northampton via Milton Keynes Central and Watford Junction in both directions until further notice. Coaches have been ordered to operate between Northampton and Wellingborough, Hamiltons coaches.”
