Denim will never go out of fashion - and thanks to students from Milton Keynes College it never needs to go out of use either.
Fashion and textiles students were at the intu Milton Keynes Eco Weekend on March 28-29, showing shoppers how to update the wardrobe in an environmentally-friendly way.
Upcycling is one of the hottest trends in fashion, using old, unwanted clothes to create something new.
Talented students demonstrated ways of refreshing the wardrobe by handcrafting denim corsages as well as stitching alternate materials onto garments to create a feature.
Nicola Ahmed, fashion and clothing lecturer at MK College, said: “We thoroughly enjoyed being at intu Milton Keynes; it was a valuable experience for our students as they got to display their skills and put some of their creative ideas into practice in front of an audience.”
