Dirty Dancing tops public vote for Indian restaurant’s movie night


Movie night is back by popular demand at Calcutta Brasserie, with Dirty Dancing the first film to be shown.

It’s the Stony Stratford restaurant’s second event of its kind after it screened Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire to a packed crowd and provided free popcorn for all the guests to the free event.

The restaurant’s ‘Wine and Spice’ offer will be in effect during the movie night which includes: a starter, a main course, a glass of wine and poppadoms for £12.95 per person. The offer is available from Monday to Thursdays.

The owner, Ali Abdul said: “It’s our pleasure to host our lovely customers for a free evening of entertainment. We’re always looking for new ways to make the experience here a lasting experience.”

The next movie night will be on August 12 at 7pm and Dirty Dancing will be screened for all guests to enjoy free of charge with complimentary popcorn.
