Police are appealing for information after a disabled man was attacked yesterday by a group of four teenagers.

The incident happened at about 4.30pm, when the victim was travelling on his scooter along the redway between Stacey Bushes and Two Mile Ash and was approached by four teenage boys, one of whom was verbally abusive and demanded he hand over his scooter.

One of the boys hit the man over the head with a piece of wood causing the him to fall from his scooter and when he was on the ground, the boys pushed the scooter over and ran away.

The boys are black, in their mid-teens, 5ft 8ins and were wearing blue jeans and black leather jackets.

PC David Clifford-Smith, of the Wolverton and Greenleys neighbourhood team, said: “This was a disgusting attack on a vulnerable man and I am very keen to speak with anyone who knows these boys or who may have witnessed the incident.”

Anyone with information can call police on 0845 8 505 505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
