COUNCILLOR Cec Tallack, left, has said he is disappointed but understanding after he lost out as leader of the city’s Lib Dems.

He said: “We have achieved a great deal to improve Milton Keynes during the nine years we have run the council.

“I look forward to ensuring that the Tories do not reverse our excellent results such as becoming one of the top four fastest improving childrens’ services in the country and one of the top areas for recycling.

Tory leader Andrew Geary said: “Cec came in and maintained strong relationships that we had with key council partners and has formed a solid bedrock that we will hope to build on.”
