Distinguished speakers at Western Front seminar in Milton Keynes

The WW1 Land, Sea and Air seminar on Saturday, September 15 will welcome four distinguished speakers, historians who specialise in The Great War.

These include:

Peter Hart, oral historian, Imperial War Museum, will be presenting a new talk entitled ‘The All Arms Battle - how we won the war.’

Professor Andrew Lambert, Professor of Naval History, Kings College, London, will present another new talk entitled ‘Sir Julian Corbett, Jutland and the educational value of experience.’

Greg Baughen, author and historian, Military Aviation, discussing ‘From Flying Dreadnought to Dogfighter - the troubled birth of the British fighter.’

Alexandra Churchill, historian, author and researcher, will give her excellent talk on ‘King George V and the Great War.’

In addition to a splendid buffet lunch, tea, coffee and biscuits will be served throughout the day. There is a local branch display and stalls selling military books and WFA merchandise including jumpers, ties, badges, mugs, shirts and special centenary items.

The seminar is at the Oak Tree Centre, Milton Keynes, MK5 7HP. Doors open at 9.30am doors open and the seminar will finish at 4.30pm.

The modern venue is fully accessible for disabled and has plenty of free parking. Members and non-members are all very welcome to what promises to be a fascinating and informative day.
