The donation to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is being used to train Kennedy, a black Labrador who was born last summer.

Kennedy is in the final stages of his training and will soon be qualified to transform the life of a deaf person by giving them independence, confidence and companionship.

He is being trained to alert a deaf person to sounds they can’t hear, like a doorbell, alarm clock and even danger signals like a fire alarm.

His training has been sponsored by the team from Amazon’s site in Marston Gate.
