Driver, 88, dies after car collides with lamppost


An 88-year-old driver has died hours after her car collided with a lamppost over the weekend.

She was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with a head injury on Saturday. She died during the early hours of yesterday morning.

Three other people – a man and two women - were in the white Skoda at the time of the collision along Princes Way, at the junction with Queensway at around 10pm.

The two women were taken to Milton Keynes hospital for minor injuries and later discharged. The man was uninjured.
