Driver involved in serious accident at Willen has died

A man who was injured in a collision in Milton Keynes on January 11 has died.

The accident happened around 2.30pm in Tongwell Street, Willen, between Dansteed Way and Portway, and involved a white minibus, grey Hyundai I30 and a silver Volvo V70.

The male driver of the Hyundai I30 received serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to Coventry Hospital where he died yesterday (Feb 2).

The driver of the Volvo, sustained a serious fracture to her arm, a fractured pelvis and was treated at Milton Keynes Hospitaland has since been discharged.

The driver of the minibus was treated at Milton Keynes Hospital for minor injuries.He has since been discharged.

Investigating officer, PC Ryan Whiles, from the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: “We would still like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw anything relating to this incident, in particular a woman driver and a man who was driving a lorry who both stopped to help the casualties.

“Anyone with information in relation to this collision should call me on the non-emergency number 101.”
