More than 90 entries were received in all, as both amateur and professional photographers tried their luck for the £250 prize, and the opportunity to feature in a 2017 charity calendar.

Eventually Adam Close of DroneMK won for his terrific aerial shot of the city.

The image will be used on MK21’s website and marketing material, and will be the lead photo in the aforementioned calendar, which is set for release later this year.

“I knew there were a lot of photographers out there that love MK as much as I do, but I didn’t realise how much talent there was to choose from,” said MK21 managing director Oliver Dean.

“It was difficult to select the final 12 for the calendar, but I know it’s going to be amazing - the perfect present for MKs 50th birthday!”
