Thames Valley Police has released an e-fit image of a young man they would like to speak to in connection with a robbery on Saturday.

The man in the image is white, aged 16 to 18, about 5ft 6ins to 5ft 7ins, thin, with small features, hollow cheeks and light-blue, watery eyes. He was wearing an old, dark-grey hooded top and riding a BMX bike.

Around 9.15pm, a 46-year-old woman was travelling along the Redway on her mobility scooter. She was on a section which runs parallel between Lloyds and Robins Hill in the Coffee Hall area travelling in the direction of Redmoor.

She was approached from behind by a youth who searched the rear carry area of the scooter, stealing the battery charger and a black jersey material cardigan jacket with duffle coat style toggles.

As the offender was looking at the battery pack, the victim drove away onto Daniels Welch, Coffee Hall, where she was eventually helped by a member of the public.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the offence, which has left the victim effectively immobile as she no longer has a charger for her mobility scooter.

If you recognise the person in the e-fit image, or if you have any other information about the incident, please contact Det Con Wendy Cissell via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 101.
