Thames Valley Police has released e-fits of two men they would like to speak to in connection with an incident in which a man was attacked on Saturday.

At 4.45pm, the 31-year-old man left church at Downs Barn and was approached by two men who demanded cash and his mobile phone. The victim walked away from them on the path near the V9 behind the church and they followed him. While he was shouting for help, they slapped him and struck him with a bottle, knocking him down. The offenders continued kicking him and hit him again with the bottle, before running off empty-handed.

The victim was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital where he was treated for bruising and a cut to his nose.

The first man is black, between 18 to 19-years-old, 5ft 10ins, slim, with shaved hair. He was wearing sunglasses on his head, a white T-shirt and blue jeans, and spoke with a local accent.

The second offender is white, between 18 to 19-years-old, 5ft 9ins, of medium build, with short wavy brown/ginger hair. He was wearing a black bomber jacket, blue jeans and brown Dr Marten-style boots.

Det Con Wendy Cissell, of Milton Keynes CID, said: “We would urge anyone in the area, anyone who may have been leaving church, who might have seen anything to please get in touch.”

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Det Con Cissell via the non-emergency number 101.
