A SEASONAL trip to a Christmas tree farm has got Stoke Goldington CE First School children in the festive mood.
The youngsters pulled on their wellies and headed to a local plantation to ‘pick-their-own’ tree during a half day visit to Stoke Goldington Christmas Trees.
They enjoyed a guided walk around the plantation plus the chance to plant their own Christmas tree saplings which should be ready to harvest within seven to eight years.
The children then chose their very own tree for the school, which was cut down for them to proudly take back to the classroom.
Teacher Liz McHale said: “It was a fantastic visit which the children will remember for many years to come.”
