INSPIRED youngsters at St Thomas Aquinas School are celebrating their recent artistic success.

All year groups at the Bletchley school had the chance to create bold and visually striking pieces of artwork, inspired by London 2012, for an event held at The Project Space in MK Gallery last month.

Pupils worked in collaboration with four artists throughout the summer, exploring the Olympic values of respect, excellence and friendship. From friendship circles to plaster of paris hands, abstract sculptures to life-sized Olympians, each class took a different approach to the chosen theme, developing exciting ideas with the artists and their teachers.
