TEACHERS at Sir Herbert Leon Academy are remembering the former headmaster of Leon School, Bruce Henry Abbott, this week.

Mr Abbott passed away on Sunday, November 4, after working at the Bletchley school for 17 years, before serving as a local councillor.

Advanced Skills Teacher, Roland Hills, said: “Bruce Abbott was simply one of the most inspirational people in my life.

“A larger-than-life character whose personality pervaded the whole school.

“He really cared about people – and particularly the students.”
