SPEEDY youngsters at The Portfields School are celebrating their seventh Milton Keynes Cross Country Championship win.

The Junior Girls, Junior Boys and Senior Boys teams all scooped Gold and the Senior Girls team earned Silver.

Consequently, Portfields won the Large Schools Shield, and the overall Milton Keynes Schools Cross Country Championships Shield by a margin of 40 points.

Over 800 children take part in the competition so this is quite an achievement.

Headteacher Mary St-Amour said: “We are very proud of all the children for their tremendous effort.

“We would like to thank Jonathon Cursley and all the staff who train them.”
