Students go down to the woods for the day

Youngsters love getting back to nature and lucky pupils at Stoke Goldington CE First School spent a day at Tall Oaks Forest School in Salcey Forest last week.

Year 1 and 2 children had a brilliant time making woodland crafts, under the careful guidance and supervision of the Forest Leaders.

The 15 Learning Ladybirds donned their wet-weather gear for the day and had great fun making bespoke little dens for gnomes and fairies before advancing to building bigger dens for themselves.

The pupils constructed bows and arrows and amazing catapults, carefully sketching out a design for each item and collecting their own supplies.
