The Muslim community in Milton Keynes are to celebrate Eid with the whole city at Willen Lake on Sunday (September 9).
Organised by City resident Kashif Raza, the forth Eid Festival will give Muslims the opportunity to celebrate with people from other ethnic orgins.
Eid, the festival of breaking of the fast is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
This year’s event will be hosting a raffle every two hours in support of the Mulsim Aid Charity, with Milton Keynes Mayor Martin Pachey annoucing the first raffle.
The festival will also feature traditional Muslim music and will have multicultural cusines on offer as well as community stalls.
