British bakery giant Greggs has created eight new jobs by opening its latest shop at Milton Keynes Central train station.

A spokesman for Greggs said the new shop features a contemporary interior that draws on the bakery’s heritage, but is designed to meet the demands of the modern retail environment and busy ‘food-on-the-go’ shoppers.

The shop layout has lots of space for browsing the product ranges and a large seating area is available for customers who wish to relax and enjoy their purchases inside the shop.

Customers can expect to find a menu containing all the usual favourites, including the iconic Greggs sausage roll, along with other savouries that are baked-off fresh in the shop ovens.

The menu also features Greggs’ new pizza range, including full-size takeaway pizzas, along with fresh hand-made sandwiches on Greggs’ own recipe baked bread, available throughout the day.

These lines are complemented by a wide range of muffins, cupcakes and other hand-finished sweet products, and a wide selection of cold and hot drinks,.

The shop is also currently stocking seasonal products from the Greggs Christmas range, including favourites such as Festive Bakes, freshly baked Mince Pies and Snowman Doughnuts.

Belinda Chidley, shop manager at the new Greggs at Milton Keynes Central station, said: “I am very proud to be managing this new shop and look forward to welcoming people through the doors to enjoy Greggs’ favourites, as well as trying our new product ranges.

“We aim to offer our customers quality and freshness at great value prices, and we are keen to hear what the local community and stations users in particular think of our new shop.”
