Elderly couple hospitalised after being mugged in Milton Keynes

Police have released CCTV pictures after an elderly couple were mugged in Milton Keynes.

The incident took place on December 21, 2016 at about 3.45pm on the bridge which crosses Grafton Street between Bradwell and Heelands.

The victims, an 86-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman, were walking across the bridge when they were pushed from behind and fell to the floor.

A handbag belonging to the female victim was stolen and a bank card which was in the handbag was then subsequently used at shops in Bedford.

Both victims sustained injuries following the incident and required hospital treatment.

They have since been discharged.

Investigating officer, Det Con Jacqueline Baverstock said: “I would like to speak to the people in these CCTV images as they could have information vital to our investigation.

“If you know these people, or have any information which you think could help us to track them down, please contact the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101.”
