Elderly man robbed during distraction burglary

Three men forced their way inside an elderly man’s home and stole cash from him on Saturday night.

The pensioner heard banging on his door in Spinney Hill Road, Olney, at around 8pm.

He answered the door to a man he recognised as offering tree-cutting services the previous day.

But when he saw two other men in his garden, he challenged him - but all three intruders got inside his house.

Police have not revealed how much cash was stolen from the victim.

One of the offenders is white, had black hair, is aged about 20, and was wearing all black clothing. He had a thin moustache.

He left in a blue estate-style vehicle which had roof bars or a roof rack.
