Lukasz joined Amazon in 2011 and started his four-year course in 2016 on a programme of study at Bedford College and work-based assessments at the site in Marston Gate.

He said: “After several jobs in manufacturing and construction, I realised that I wanted to formalise my love for engineering through a qualification. It was at this time that I learned about the Amazon apprenticeship programme and I decided to apply.

“I joined the programme because it offered a good mix of learning and hands-on experience. I really enjoy the practical element of the programme – working with my team, on site, at Amazon in Milton Keynes. That’s the best part for me. Working together to understand how the site is running and putting the things we learn into practice to make sure everything operates smoothly.

“The thing that really appeals to me about the apprenticeship programme is the opportunity for continuous learning and career development. Working at Amazon has given me the opportunity to challenge myself, gain new skills and push me to achieve new goals and discover new possibilities.
