Enigma machine gets new wheels

In a deal announced today, Progress Suzuki dealership in Old Stratford, has donated a fully liveried 1.6-litre petrol Suzuki Vitara SZ4 compact SUV.

It will be used by the trust for its outreach programme to carry personnel and the famous Enigma machine to classrooms, lecture halls and clubs all over the country.

Matt Crathorn, Brand Manager of Progress Suzuki, said: “We are delighted to start 2016 by announcing our collaboration with a very worthwhile cause such as the Bletchley Park Trust.

“The Vitara model has proved an extremely popular choice since it went on sale last year, and is an ideal vehicle for the charity to carry out their valuable work across the UK.”

Bletchley Park Trust runs the world-class museum and education programmes at Bletchley Park to showcase the central role that Britain’s codebreakers played during World War Two.

Iain Standen, Chief Executive Officer of the Bletchley Park Trust, added: “We are extremely grateful to Progress Suzuki for supplying the car which is essential to allow our Outreach Team to travel around the country and educate others about the achievements of the Bletchley Park Codebreakers during World War Two. It is important that we ensure that the legacy of these highly talented individuals is passed on to future generations.”
