Food waste collections missed in several parts of Milton Keynes

A spokesman for Milton Keynes Council has apologised after collections were missed in multiple parts of the borough yesterday.
Monday March 15th was meant to mark the restart of green bin collections after staff shortages forced contractors Serco to postpone their services.

Hide AdThe decision was taken after two lorry drivers died after returning positive Covid tests.


Collections were missed in: Newport Pagnell, Olney, Willen, Sherington, Olney, Redhouse Park, Gifford Park and Blakelands.
Residents were assured missed collections would be rectified first thing today (March 16).
In a Tweet posted yesterday evening the Council advised residents to leave food and garden waste out to be collected as normal.
