Gritters to be sent out across Milton Keynes early today with temperatures set to plummet

The gritting team will be out on Milton Keynes roads from 3pm today, as the Met Office predicts heavy snow for Saturday morning.

With a 90% expectation of heavy snowfall between five and seven tomorrow morning, on Saturday January 16, Ringway Milton Keynes have sent out the gritters.

A spokesperson for Milton Keynes Ringway said: "Our gritting team will be out on the roads of MK from 3pm today with temps down to -0.2 deg c overnight with frost expected, maybe even light snow."

The Met Office have issued a yellow warning in the UK, anticipating that heavy snow might cause delay and disruption to railway and road travel tomorrow. Sleet and heavy rain are also expected to fall in Milton Keynes on Saturday morning, after the potential frost and snow.
