"We expect flooding to affect the River Great Ouse from Brackley to Haversham, including Padbury Brook. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. We are continuing to monitor the situation."
A government graph shows the area's river levels near Stony Stratford hit 0.8m on Monday (October 5) and Tuesday (October 6).
To put that into context, when the river level reaches 0.3m minor flooding is possible.
