Faded white line facelift planned for 800 stretches of road in Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes roads will sport brighter and whiter lines as part of a £100,000 council initiative.

Some 800 areas across MK will have their faded white lines repainted in the near future.

Councillor Martin Gowans, who is the new cabinet member for highways, said the refreshed marking will make for safer roads.

He said; “I am delighted, as a driver, that over 800 locations will be upgraded over the coming year.

“I hate coming to junctions or zebra crossings and the lines are not clear,” he added.

Mr Gowans said the white line scheme is the first in a series of road safety and street lighting improvements he plans to make.
