Fantastic quiz fundraiser in'¨Bob's memory

Willen Hospice and Diabetes UK will each be receiving £450, following a hugely quiz night in memory of a New Bradwell man.

Bob Nutt, who had Type 2 diabetes, passed away suddenly from a heart attack in February, aged 63.

Bob’s daughter, Lianne Rust, aged 41, who acted as quizmaster, said: “My dad had always supported Willen Hospice as my nan passed away due to cancer, so we decided to raise money to support both charities – Willen Hospice and Diabetes UK.

“It has obviously been a very difficult time for myself and my family.

“So as a group of mums that all do the school run together, we decided to do a charity night in memory of my dad.”

The evening included games stalls, face painting, a bring and share buffet and trophies and chocolates for the winning teams.

The Stantonbury Working Mens Club, in New Bradwell, donated the venue free of charge for the event, and nearly 100 raffle prizes were donated by local companies.
