Festival weekend with a taste of the Philippines

The culture and people of the Philippines were celebrated in the city over the weekend during a colourful and popular family event.

Crowds of visitors arrived in Campbell Park to enjoy the Milton Keynes Filipino Festival which draws visitors every year.

Hosted by the Filipino British Society, the weather stayed perfect for the two-day festival, with something for the whole family.

With entertainment and plenty of Filipino dishes to taste, the fun carried on throughout the day and evening on both Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31.

There was a fun fair, stalls and music, with plenty of picnics enjoyed too.

Fans of JSMV, from Milton Keynes, were delighted to get a chance to see them performing live at the festival on Saturday, a rare treat from this R&B/dance duo.

On stage also during the weekend was The Voice finalist Lydia Lucy and Ed Sheeran’s cousin Alonestar.
