Firefighters kept busy dealing with incidents on Milton Keynes roads

Fire crews have attended a number of incidents on city roads in little more than 24 hours.

Early on Sunday morning, firefighters made the scene safe after a collision involving one car, on the M1 southbound between junctions 14 (Milton Keynes) and 13 (Woburn). Crews from Broughton and Newport Pagnell attended, and two men were out of the car, uninjured, when they arrived.

At lunchtime on Sunday they were called to a fire which was affecting the motorway embankment, M1 southbound between junctions 14 and 13.

Three crews responded and used two hose reels.

They also attended a collision involving one car on the Stoke Road in Newton Longville earlier this morning (Monday).
