Firefighters tackle canal boat blaze in Milton Keynes

Firefighters were called to a canal boat fire on the Grand Union Canal at New Bradwell, last night (Thurs).

Crews from Great Holm, Broughton and Aylesbury attended the 10 metre by two metre long boat.

Newport Pagnell also attended with a fire engine and rescue boat.

Jets, a hose reel and a thermal imaging camera were used to tackle the blaze, and a man and a woman suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke were left in the care of the ambulance service.
