A special service – ahead of Saturday’s Armed Forces Day – featured pipers of the Milton Keynes Pipe Band and MK’s poet laureate Mark Niel, who delivered the poem Those Who Serve.

Pupils from Southwood School and Germander Park School also participated in the event, which paid tribute to the British Armed Forces community,’for their hard work, dedication and efforts to keep us safe in the UK and across the globe.’

Bugler James Smith performed Reveille and Chris Roberts, the North Buckinghamshire Group and Olney branch chairman of the Royal British Legion, also took part.
