Force launches new lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender information website

Thames Valley Police has worked with the community to launch a brand new information website for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people.

The LGBT Bucks website aims to inform LGBT residents about services in and around Buckinghamshire.

It includes national and local information, as well as practical tips and advice. was the result of talks by the LGBT Domestic Abuse Task and Finish Group, which wanted something new for the community in Buckinghamshire that could promote services in order to support and serve LGBT needs appropriately.

A spokesman said: “The website raises awareness of LGBT domestic abuse and details general community safety advice, but not only that.

“There are also webpages on social and sport, sexual health, “coming out”, fostering and adoption, civil weddings/civil partnerships and transgender support and information.

“The website also has a blog section that LGBT residents can submit posts to.

“Overall it is something the partnership are very proud of and hope that LGBT resident’s in Buckinghamshire will visit LGBT Bucks website to find out more.”
