VISITORS to Stoke Goldington enjoyed the opportunity to let off steam at the weekend.
More than 20,000 people attended the annual Steam Rally which proved a great day out for all the family.
West Side Farm hosted the event with attractions including the flyover of a Spitfire and a Dakota ZA947 which helped to draw in the crowds. A wartime display area also proved popular with a full scale Spitfire replica and the opportunity for
rally goers to have their picture taken in the cockpit. The 1940s Radio Station paid a visit to play music from the era helping to
create an authentic wartime atmosphere.
Other entertainment included a crane ride which offered amazing views of the rally and surrounding area, captivating magic shows and local bands along with over 60 stalls providing a huge variety of goods and refreshments.
Estate agents Michael Graham sponsored the event with a balloon race and the chance to win a fun family day out.
A spokesman said: “The day proved a family event and the huge number of visitors proved the steam rally is showing no signs of slowing down after 34 years.”
