Superheroes of all ages are invited to attend the Superhero Fun Run at stadium:mk on the May Day bank holiday.

Seven budding heroes took a break from saving the world to display their super powers at the recent MK Dons Family Fun Day, where they were keen to encourage their fellow costumed crime fighters to join in the fun run which is being held alongside the MKMarathon on May 6.

It offers the perfect chance to experience what being a superhero is all about as participants will be crossing the finish line after being cheered on by thousands of spectators.

Milton Keynes Marathon race director Andrew Hully said: “The aim of the Superhero Fun Run is to encourage children and their parents to get active and raise money for charity while having fun and possibly saving the world!

“Anyone can participate but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the fun run along 2.6km of roads closed to traffic, finishing inside stadium:mk.

Entry is £10 per adult and £8 per child, with entrants receiving a medal and a drink at the finish.

Participants are encouraged to raise money for their own chosen charity, sponsorship forms are available to download from the MK Marathon website.

And, organisers hope people will wear superhero outfits although fancy dress is optional.
