THE final of the city’s Asian Chef of the Year contest took place last Wednesday.
The competition at the kitchens of Milton Keynes College’s The Chef in Waiting saw contestants from some of MK’s premium Indian or Asian restaurants take part in a cook-off.
The contest was part of Milton Keynes Food & Leisure Awards, which aims to honour the best in food, drink, hospitality and leisure throughout the city.
Backed by the Citizen, the awards consist of 14 categories with a special gala evening planned on Sunday, May 13 at The Swan in Milton Keynes Village.
Wednesday’s cook-off saw Mohammed Nosir Miah from Zinga, Saj Khan from the Calcutta Brasserie and Akbar Ali from Kardamom Lounge battling it out to produce the best culinary delights.
The winner will be announced at the awards evening.
