A 10-YEAR-OLD had her mobile phone stolen by two men as she played in a city playground on Sunday.

At 5.45pm the girl and her friend were sitting on swings in Giraffe Park children’s playground, Downs Barn, when they were approached by two young men, both aged between 18 and 20.

One is black with a heavy build and may have a pierced eyebrow. He was wearing a dirty white baseball cap, a grey hooded top with the hood up, and grey tracksuit bottoms.

The second man is white, slightly taller than the other man, with a pierced ear. He was wearing a black tracksuit and Adidas trainers and carrying a black sports bag.

After pushing her friend off the swing, the two men tried to engage the 10-year-old girl in conversation. She had placed her red Samsung Tocco Lite mobile phone on her lap and hidden it with her coat.

However, the white man pulled her coat from her lap and grabbed the mobile phone, which he put into his sports bag.

The two men walked away towards a nearby bridge, where a third man was waiting.

Detective Constable Wendy Cissell, of Milton Keynes CID, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the park at the time, or who has any other information about the incident, to come forward and assist in our investigation.”

Anyone with any information should contact Det Con Cissell via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 101.
