Girls are in the driving seat

Denbigh School students are one of three winners at the regional finals of the international Land Rover 4x4 Car Technology Challenge.

One boys’ team and one girls’ team of Denbigh engineering students designed and built a car over 12 months during weekly club meetings.

After triumphing as the best all-rounders at the regional finals in Birmingham, the girls’ team, named Epsilon, will now compete in the national final at Silverstone in April.

Headteacher Andy Squires said: “This is a testament to the students’ hard work and dedication to the project.”
