The British Radio Car Association (BRCA) has chosen centre:mk as the venue for their annual Model Motorsport Show where racers will compete to decide who will take home the Global Radio Car Racing Championship crown.

The 500sqm track will see competitors racing up to 50mph to outwit their rivals in fast-paced races lasting around 12 seconds each.

The BRCA expects this to the be the best show yet, and centre:mk will prove the perfect venue for their interactive show, even giving spectators a chance to have a go on the ‘Arrive & Drive’ track.

The Model Motorsport Show is always a very popular event in the car and racing world, and this year the world’s leading sports car manufacturer, Porsche is joining with the Porsche Carrera Cup as official event supporters. Local school children from across the district have also been invited for exclusive seminars from racing experts to give them a foundation course on engineering in car production.

Shaun Rhodes, head of marketing at centre:mk said: “We can’t wait to welcome the British Radio Car Association’s Model Motorsport Show to Middleton Hall this weekend.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to put the spotlight on Milton Keynes and we welcome everyone to come down to the centre to try something new, or support a sport they love already.

“There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved at the event, especially on the ‘Arrive & Drive’ track, so we hope to see lots of people coming down to try it out! We will certainly be brushing off our racing stripes and wish the best of luck to all the competitors.”
