Golden anniversary of Milton Keynes Festival of the Arts sees more than 2,500 performances

Each performer received constructive verbal and written feedback from a professional adjudicator, a graded certificate, plus medals, money prizes and trophies awarded. To mark its landmark anniversary the festival also has two generous bursaries to award to help performers in honing their skills further.

Festival organiser Pat Haig said “There is nowhere else in Milton Keynes for amateur performers to showcase their music, drama or dance skills in front of a relevant and highly experienced industry professional and a supportive audience and receive useful and constructive comments to help them move forward.

“We are sponsored by Kawai Pianos UK, who are based in Milton Keynes, and they provide us with six wonderful concert pianos for our performers’ use. Our music festival closed with an amazing adult piano recital and we have a wonderful school choirs and barbershop event coming up on Friday, March 9, at The Ridgeway Centre, Wolverton, starting at 9.45am.
