CITY MP Iain Stewart had one of the best seats in the House to enjoy the Royal Wedding from – it just happened to be from his office.
Mr Stewart’s window in the Houses of Parliament overlooks Whitehall, giving him a great view of the Royal family as they made their way to the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
He particularly enjoyed getting a good view of newlyweds the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they made their way back to Buckingham Place in an open carriage before watching the spectacular fly past from the roof of Parliament.
He said: “It was such an honour to have the opportunity to see some of this historic event up close.
“There was a great atmosphere in Parliament for the few MPs whose offices overlook Whitehall – the corridors were filled with bunting and there was lots of cheering and flag waving.”
