Greg Rutherford's adorable son Milo is 'dressed like a girl', say Strictly Come Dancing viewers

The partner of Greg Rutherford has hit out at critics who accused her of dressing their son like a GIRL.

Little Milo, two, made an appearance on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday to watch his Olympic medal-winning dad in training.

Some viewers criticised the tot’s “girly clothes” and top knot hairstyle, prompting his mum Susie Verrill respond with an outspoken blog.

She said she was happy and confident about the way she and Greg, who live in Woburn Sands, choose to dress their son.

“I can gladly confirm I dress my son in ‘girl clothes’... I don’t think boys should stick to blue, black, trucks, robots, footballs and monsters,” she wrote.

She added: “Of course we all that stuff, but so will any future daughter of ours (if we happen to have one). Milo does wear blue; he just didn’t happen to today.”

In fact, the cherub-faced toddler wore a red top printed with cacti, black and white leggings and blue flower-patterned boots.

His long blond hair was tied up in a pony tail on top of his head because, according to Susie, she is trying to grow it and it looks neat that way.

Greg, 29, was filmed taking a break from learning the Viennese Waltz with dance partner Natalie Lowe to swing his son in the air.

He told viewers that his son, whose full name is Milo Andrew William James Nugget Rutherford, was his “inspiration” to keep going on Strictly’s punishing regime.
