THE group fighting against development in Church Farm are concerned that not enough people knew about the council’s consultation period.

Consultation closed on Friday for residents in the area to submit their views on the development.

Of the 1,750 homes in the consultation zone, 133 questionnaires were returned, prompting ReviseSR4 to question whether the council advertised the period appropriately.

ReviseSR4 Chairman Ginny Tait said: “We are concerned that the difficulties faced by residents in finding information about Church Farm would suggest that a proper consultation with residents was not one of the council’s objectives. We are keen to find out why.”
