Grow your own veg with Frosts

Create a planter and grow your own greens with Frosts Garden Centre’s Vegetable Planter workshop, taking place at the centre in Woburn Sands on Tuesday, May 19.

Anyone yearning to grow their own vegetables but struggling with a lack of space will love this workshop as Frosts’ expert demonstrates how to get a bumper harvest from a container vegetable garden.

At the end of the workshop everyone will have their very own vegetable planter to get them started, which they can take home and enjoy.

The workshop is part of Frosts’ Gardening and Country Living Workshop series which offers monthly activities throughout 2015.

The workshops are designed to offer visitors the opportunity to learn new skills and enjoy a hands-on activity; each celebrating the best of country living and leaving visitors with new expertise, ideas for activities to try at home and a memento from the day.

The workshop takes place at either 10.30am or 1.30pm and runs for 90 minutes. Tickets cost £20 per person.

> Build a buddy at Frosts

It’s raining cats and dogs this May half term as Frosts Garden Centre in Woburn Sands invites children to get creative with ‘Build a Buddy’ from Tuesday 26 to Sunday, May 31.

Every child has that one cuddly toy which they treasure and take everywhere! Handcrafting their friend themselves could only make it even more special!

Children can choose a soft toy puppy or kitten to make their very own cuddly buddy, complete with its very own birth certificate and take home carry box.

They will be thrilled to show off their handiwork and excited to play with their creation for years to come! The activity will be followed by 30 minutes of party games and dancing fun.

Build a Buddy takes place at 9.30am, 11.00am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm, and costs £9.99 per child. Each child will receive a puppy shaped biscuit and a glass of squash.
