An aspiring trainee engineer had the chance to get hands-on with engineering thanks to a three day activity course.
Denbigh School student Apoorv Patel was thrilled to don his overalls and hard hat and get stuck into a variety of activities in order to become an engineer for a few days.
Apoorv was one of 43 pupils, aged 13 to 15, who took part in E.ON’s national STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) event.
The residential course in Nottinghamshire gave the youngsters the chance to gain practical experience solving real-life engineering problems. They also took part in a tour of one of E.ON’s power stations and met people working in the energy industry.
