Have your say about urgent care service

NHS MK Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) launched a 12 week public consultation in February, about the future of the urgent care walk-in service at Broughton Gate Health Centre.

Health leaders have been looking at how the urgent care and GP out-of-hours services can be integrated with the local A&E department to deliver a better patient experience.

The CCG’s vision for urgent and emergency care provision is for a system that is as straightforward as possible, with patients aware of and able to access appropriate high quality clinical care and support at the right time and in the right place.

“We would urge local people to attend the meeting so that they can influence the future shape of these important local services,”said Dr Nicola Smith, chair of the NHS MK CCG.

“Urgent care services in Milton Keynes need to adapt to the needs of a fast growing and ageing population. Our vision for urgent care is to ensure that we have services for local people that offer the best care possible, in the most appropriate place, at the right time.”
