The contracts for both centres are due to end on March 31, 2017. NHS Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and NHS England are responsible for the re-procurement of new contracts and will invite organisations, including the current providers, to bid to run the services.

Services at both Broughton Gate Health Centre and Neath Hill Health Centre will continue to run as normal during this process.

People are invited to share their views by completing a survey or by visiting the special drop-in sessions that have been arranged at each surgery on October 26 (Neath Hill) and October 27 (Broughton Gate).

“We would urge everyone to give us their views so we can find out more about what patients want from their local surgeries at Broughton Gate and Neath Hill,” said Dr Nicola Smith, chair of NHS Milton Keynes CCG.

“This valuable information will help us to work with the providers to deliver a successful service.

“Your views will also help to shape GP services across Milton Keynes in the future. So, it’s important that we know what people’s priorities are when using health services.”

Dominic Cox, locality director for NHS England in Milton Keynes, added:

“This is an opportunity for patients and anyone with an interest in either of these services to have their say about what they want and need, so I would encourage people to take time to complete one of the surveys or visit the drop-in sessions. The views of patients and stakeholders are important and will be instrumental in planning future services in Milton Keynes.”

Households registered with both surgeries will receive letters explaining how they can have their say, and can also share their views at the aforementioned drop in sessions, see below, or by going online:
